Gator Charles Bernstein United Artists LA-646-G, 1976
Gator album cover

This Burt Reynolds vehicle co-starred Lauren Hutton and Jack Weston and was directed by the star. The soundtrack is excellent; tight, funky and driving. Bernstein builds tension through effective use of wah guitar and a tight brass section. Look out for 'Hannah's Club' and the rocky 'Swamp Chase' among many good funk instrumentals on the album.

Overall Rating: 4
