Winter Equinox Dennis Dragon Festival FR1007, 1976
Winter Equinox album cover

This is an excellent late 1970s score to a skiing documentary film. The music is directed and produced by drummer/producer Dennis Dragon, also responsible for the great 'Go For It' sports soundtrack. Session musician Chris Darrow features on the album too. Don't be put off by the poor duotone cover; read the liner notes and your pulse should begin to race... 'the selections depict a musical myriad of moods running the gamut of Easy Listening to Stone Funk and Super Disco' so it says here, and who are we to argue? Top tracks: Powder Burn, Mogul Monster and Snow Nose amongst many others. A perfect example of late 1970s white boy music library easy listening funk.

Overall Rating: 4
