Family Lena-Maria & Sweet Wine Philips 6316 038, 1974
Family album cover

When we try to find new funk soundtracks, we talk to people all over the world who've found great funk in the most obscure places. Props to Tobias for digging up this great Swedish-only soundtrack, performed by rock outfit Sweet Wine. As usual with 1970s movies and rock bands, they often slip a funk cut or two into the mix, and this LP is no exception, with the wicked breakdown cut 'Let's do it all together', where the instruments are introduced one after another. And the rock tracks aren't bad either - fat and chunky.

Overall Rating: 4
