Go For It Dennis Dragon Safari ST-2000, 1978
Go For It album cover

A brilliant, varied and dynamic late 1970s soundtrack from the Dennis Dragon stable. Once again he has a hand in scoring a sports documentary-style movie (check out the photo of the surfer riding the waves with a huge afro on the back cover!), presented by the late Lakers star Wilt Chamberlain. The music is a chaotic mix of guitar rock, huge funk drums, fuzzy psychedelia , smooth jazz-funk, fusion, and a tinge of country. It has a cheesy, easy listening music library sound in places that merely adds to the appeal. The monstrous white funk theme would make your granny shake her booty - guaranteed!

Overall Rating: 5
