The last place to find a funk soundtrack? This score is taken from a bizarre 1970s Cannes Film Festival winner, a French animated science fiction film. A very obscure soundtrack, don't miss it. There are 25 tracks, mostly between one and two minutes long, all featuring the same melody. However, each track is different in instrumentation and feel. The majority of the tracks are backed by an excellent funk group; Rhodes, wah guitar and fatback drums provide the drive in what is an entertaining and surprising album with great depth. One for the 'oddball' pile with Chariots Of The Gods?
