The title translates as 'A Free Man', and the cover looks suitably romantic. Francis Lai is always at his most schmaltzy when scoring romantic movies - no exception here. Plenty of French horn, strings, piano melody and flute. Dull and sentimental. There's one tiny, fleeting moment at the start of Side Two where it funks up just for a second, and shows just how good this record could have been, but unfotunately it's good enough only for a short break. A missed opportunity.
