One of the most well-known of the French groovy soundtracks, this album features the killer psych funk tune 'Haschish Party'. That fact alone should have you scurrying to Paris to find a copy. After all, hundreds of compilation authors can't be wrong - it's a superb sitar, flute, bassline and wordless vocal funk tune. Wonderful stuff. The rest of the LP includes some groovy psych rock from The Wallace Collection and plenty of other sample friendly moments (another sitar number, for example). The movie from which it's taken is decidedly odd and now very hard to find.
