Vice Squad (Brigade Mondaine) Cerrone Malligator 773806, 1978
Vice Squad (Brigade Mondaine) album cover

Cult French disco producer Cerrone put out this soundtrack LP on his own Malligator label in the late 70s, presumably the score to some French sleaze film. This soundtrack will appeal to fans of uptempo funk with a late 70s sound and a disco feel - there are three strong tracks on the first side, all worthy of a spin on the dancefloor. Some killer dark disco breaks, too. The flip side is a little more experimental, with a slight progressive rock edge in places. Not a hard one to find and definitely worth a listen - recommended for dancefloors.

Overall Rating: 4
