Your Arms Too Short To Box With God Alex Bradford ABC AB 1004, 1977
Your Arms Too Short To Box With God album cover

So how many of you have started digging the 'shows and musicals' bin looking for funk? You might be surprised. Here's a tip to start you off. Orchestrations and dance music on this one are by HB Barnum - usually a good sign when it comes to soundtracks. All of the backline on this LP is pretty tight, but it's spoiled by the vocals. Luckily, there's one HB Barnum-penned number that survives as a great late 70s funk instrumental, tight and choppy. Buy for 'Judas Dance' alone.

Overall Rating: 3
