Music To Read The Pretenders By Joe Rene Complex, The Philips PHS 600-327, 1968
Music To Read The Pretenders By album cover

OK, so this isn't strictly a soundtrack LP, but always ends up in the soundtracks crates, so here's our opinion! Mostly a 1960s cliched genre LP, there are nevertheless some solid groovy moments on here, like the open drums, fuzz guitar and organ of 'Rank-out'. Worth a cheap dig but don't pay too heavily.

Overall Rating: 3

Track listing:

If you pretend | Double bubble bath | Menage a trois | Mirror on a Mexican ceiling | Weekend for Lulu | Anti-social register | Pictures at an exhibition | Harry's funeral | Specialty of the house | Rank-out | Variation on a menage a trois |
