This obscure musical soundtrack is taken from London's West End hot ticket for 1975, a soul version of Gilbert and Sullivan's operetta The Mikado! Believe it or not, this record manages to remain reasonably faithful to the original compositions while being really funky in places. Add to that both Floella Benjamin and Derek Griffiths and you're on to a winner! Recommended for sheer oddness as well as tasty, chunky funk beats. A surprise!
