Here's a really groovy little obscure French 45, from an Alain Delon movie by Jacques Deray. One of the reasons why we rate French funk so highly is that French artists aren't afraid of experimenting with different feels than the standard four-on-the-floor funk groove, and here's a good example. Check Happy Night for a big jerk Hammond dancefloor cut with a wicked groove - lovely!
