Tomorrow's World John Dankworth Philips 6006 337, 1973
Tomorrow's World album cover

Fans of 1970s UK childrens' TV will remember fondly this great little jazzy theme to the popular science BBC series Tomorrow's World. Dankworth composed the early 70s version of the theme, issued in relatively small quantities in the UK on this hard-to-find 45. The best thing about it is the killer flip - a mad, loungey and slightly parpy piano and brass big band funk number with huge drums! An absolute dancefloor bomb and highly recommended - excellent!

Overall Rating: 4
