Curiously, this British TV series soundtrack never saw a British LP release. The series, a science fiction cult classic, featured Martin Landau as the troubled Commander Koenig. A truly dated album but nevertheless a great funk LP. The title theme contains some of the hardest wah guitar ever committed to vinyl, and many of the other tracks contain analogue synthesizer effects backed by a full orchestra. The gaps between each track are filled with the haunting Space 1999 background melody.
