Sammy Sammy Davis Jnr. MGM SE-4914, 1973
Sammy album cover

The Sammy LP is taken from a Sammy Davis Jnr TV Special from the early 1970's and features a great cover montage of Sammy in various costumes. The album has two real heavyweight funk cuts, "Get It On" and "For Once In My Life". Sammy really knows how to project a song, and these tracks are no exception; guaranteed dancefloor dynamite! Other tracks on the album contain dialogue from the show and slower ballads.

Overall Rating: 3
