Short Summary:
Jim Brown stars as Curtis Hook, a crook who steals $1,500,000 from the Mob only to be injured by his double-crossing conspirators. Hospitalised after his getaway van crashed, he's transferred to the notorious California Penal Institution - The Slams. He discovers that the Mob have a contract out on him but refuses to divulge the whereabouts of the cash to either the black gang, prison warders or the white gangsters inside The Slams, ensuring that he remains a loner targeted by the other inmates. Meanwhile, his girlfriend Iris contacts an old friend called Jackson Barney who helps Hook to escape and recover the money.
